Newly appointed Ministers call for cooperation for Covid-19 response

May 15, Kathmandu: The newly-appointed ministers have urged cooperation from everyone concerned to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic.
Assuming his office on Friday, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Leelanath Shrestha vowed to put in place legal provisions necessary to enforce the fundamental rights.
Similarly, newly-reappointed Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal urged the staffers to formulate rescue and relief-centric policies and programmes for the tourism sector which has been hit hard by the first and ongoing second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Minister Dhakal, on the occasion, signed the file that proposed Rs 1,000 to be given to the staff performing cremation for the deceased Covid-19 infected persons at Pashupati Aryaghat.
Likewise, Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Bahadur Ale has instructed the line agencies to work towards the prevention and control of Covid-19.
After assuming his office at Singha Durbar on Friday, Minister Ale directed all the staffers to comply with the health safety protocols against coronavirus infection.
