Taplejung seeks help from Tibet Autonomous Region as Covid-19 cases surge
May 8, Taplejung: Taplejung, a mountainous district in Province 1, has sought help from the Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) of China to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The district has called the bordering Dinjie County for medical assistance to curb the infection risk.
The district has written to the County, urging the latter to provide it 11 types of most essential supplies including disposable medical masks, antigen test kits, N-95 mask, PPEs, thermal guns and oxygen cylinders.
District Coordination Committee chief Ghanendra Maden said they had sought help from Tibet as the Covid-19 cases were surging in the district.
Taplejung has been getting assistance from TAR during hard times.
