Finance Ministry unveils Development Assistance Report 2020

April 8, Kathmandu: The International Economic Cooperation and Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance has unveiled the Development Cooperation Report, 2020.

As per the report, an official development assistance of 2 billion 3 million US dollar was disbursed in 2019/20 compared to 1 billion 578 million US dollar in the previous year. As per the data the international economic cooperation has increased by 26.9% in comparison to the previous year.

Similarly, there has been a notable decline in the INGO contributions from 215.3 million US dollar in fiscal year 2018/19 to 131.8 million US dollar in the last fiscal year.

Of the total official development assistance disbursed in Nepal in 2019/20, 512.9 million US dollar was utilized specifically for COVID-19 response and recovery.
