FM frequency distribution will be made systematic and transparent: Minister Gurung

March 22, Kathamndu: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has said ‘National Frequency Policy’ will be formulated and introduced to address the issues regarding FM radio frequency in the country.

Speaking at an interaction programme organized by the Association of Community Radio Broadcasters Nepal on its 20th anniversary on Monday, Minister Gurung said the FM frequency distribution would be made systematic and transparent.

He also said a provision would be made to grant license of FM radio and their renewal facilities via online.

The Minister stressed the need for reviewing and analyzing community radios to check whether they were fulfilling their responsibilities towards the community.
