Finance Ministry says capital expenditure for current fiscal year till now 14.4%

January 24, Kathmandu: Finance Ministry has said the current fiscal year’s capital expenditure has remained at 14.4% with expenses of 50.82 billion rupees.

Unveiling the mid-term review report of the current budget at the Ministry on Sunday, the Ministry has said the government has spent 36.08 % of budget set for current expenses.

Talking part in the half-yearly review of the current budget, Finance Minister Bishu Pd Paduel said the Ministry has been coordinating with stakeholders to increase development expenses even during the pandemic.

Minister Paudel also stressed on the need to coordination and cooperation among the ministries for improving capital expenditure.

Also speaking in the review meeting, Vice Chair of National Planning Commission Dr. Puspa Raj Kandel stressed on the need of firmly implementing the budget implementation codes.
