665 billion rupees needed to revive the economy : National Planning Commission

January 19, Kathmandu: The National Planning Commission on Tuesday projected that it will cost 6 hundred and 65 billion rupees to revive the national economy to its pre- Covid-19 stage.
Assessing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the national economy during the third quarter of the last fiscal year, the commission stressed on implementing the relief packages, employment generation programs, containment of the pandemic, and development of a new system for self-reliance.
Vice-Chair of the Commission Prof. Dr Puahpa Raj Kandel said the commission had formulated short term, midterm and long term strategies for the revival of the economy.
