Constitutional Bench resumes hearing on writs filed against dissolution of House
Kathmandu, January 6: The Constitutional Bench at the Supreme Court has resumed the hearing on the writs filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
The written replies sent by the Office of the president and the Office of the PM and Council of Ministers were presented before the bench on Wednesday.
The advocates on behalf of appellants sought a full bench of the apex court for hearing the case saying the case needs a serious constitutional explanation.
The next hearing of the case has been set for next Wednesday, the 13th of January.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court Justice Hari Krishna Karki has decided not to be a part of the Constitutional Bench that is hearing the writs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives,
The advocates had questioned his presence in the bench citing his appointment to the post of Attorney General by the PM KP Sharma Oli led government earlier.
