Home Minister orders the arrest of those who shouted misogynist slogans against the Prez.

January 3, Kathmandu: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has said he has ordered the arrest of the person/s who had shouted inappropriate slogans against President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.
Receiving a memorandum presented by the All Nepal Women’s Association (ANWA) on Sunday, Home Minister Thapa informed that the process to move ahead with legal action had been initiated against the culprit/s who had publically shouted vulgar and inappropriate slogans against the head-of-the-state.
The ANWA in the memorandum has called for punishment to the individual/s who used misogynist slogans against the President during a protest rally organized by the Dahal-Nepal led faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
The ANWA has also submitted a memorandum regarding the incident to the Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizen Julie Kumari Mahato.
