An excellent opportunity beaconing to import skills, knowledge, and technology : F.M. Gyawali
Kathmandu: The Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Saturday said the present situation had provided a golden opportunity for the Nepalese working abroad to bring back home their skills, knowledge and technology for the development of the country.
Addressing the 8th Regional congress of the Non-resident Nepalese Association in the Asia-Pacific, Minister Gyawali stressed on leading the country to economic prosperity with the optimum usage of the new technology.
Saying the government had been taking necessary steps to repatriate Nepalese in problem in foreign countries, Minister Gyawali asked all to consider the adverse situation created by the present situation.
Minister Gyawali said more 76 thousand Nepalese had returned home \ since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, adding that additional three hundred thousand were scheduled to return home.
Gyawali also said there was also the challenge of creating one million jobs in the country targeting the foreign returnees at present.
