October 13, Kathmandu: The Central Security Committee has held a meeting to review the security situation in view of the upcoming election of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.

The meeting held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Chairmanship of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand discussed various aspects of the security arrangements ensuring that the November 20 elections would be held in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.

On the occasion, Heads of the security agencies shared about the security-related challenges of the election and sought a strategy to address them.

The security coordination division of the Ministry of Home Affairs submitted a proposal to hold a province-level security conference on the matter and seek ways to resolve them. In the meeting, Home Minister Khand directed the entire home administration and security agencies to follow the election code of conduct prepared by the Election Commission.
