Russia will face serious consequences if it uses nuclear weapons on Ukraine: US

September 26, Kathmandu: The US has warned that Russia would face serious consequences if it were to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. 

The US issued such a warning after the Russian foreign minister said that they would offer full protection to the Ukrainian regions, where so-called referendums are being held. 

In the four eastern regions of Ukraine, referendums are being held on the question of joining Russia. 

Western countries including the US have termed the referendums are bogus.
