Heath Ministry reports more than 11 thousand dengue cases since mid-July

Kathmandu: The Health Ministry says dengue infection has turned endemic in 10 districts of the country.

Speaking at a press conference at the Ministry today, Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Thakur said Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Makawanpur, Dang, Rupandehi, Chitawan, Kavrepalanchok, Dhadhing and Tehrathum districts have witnessed a large number of dengue cases. These districts account for 84 % of the total dengue cases.

The Spokesperson said a total of 11 thousand and 65 dengue cases have been recorded across the country since mid-July this year

The Health Ministry has urged to all to adopt precautionary measures to avoid the mosquito bite.
