Education Minister praises media role in political transformation

September 11, Kathmandu: Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Devendra Poudel has said the role of the media is crucial in the country’s political and social transformation.

Addressing the third plenary of the Gandaki Province Committee of Press Centre Nepal in Pokhara on Saturday, Minister Poudel said the media should play a meaningful role to establish the agendas forwarded by the political parties, and the government’s performance.

Minister Poudel was of the view that journalists’ capacity building was equally important along with the contextual development of the media industry.
