Govt to bring uniformity in prices charged to test Dengue fever

September 7, Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to bring uniformity in the prices charged to diagnose Dengue fever.

According to the Spokesperson of the Health Ministry Dr Sajay Kumar Thakur, the Health Ministry decided to bring uniformity in the prices charged for Dengue fever tests as per the suggestions received during the meeting with the stakeholders on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Dr Thakur said that the Ministry decided to bring uniformity in the prices within the next week after some hospitals and laboratories were found charging patients with unreasonable prices.

Tuesday’s meeting also dwelt on efforts being made to control the dengue fever in Kathmandu Metropolitan City among other municipal bodies.
