August 25, Kathmandu: At least 22 civilians were killed and more than 50 injured in a Russian attack on a train station in Ukraine.
Addressing the United Nations Security Council meeting via video on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a Russian attack on a train station in the eastern city of Chaplyne caused a fire in train carriages and killed 22 civilians, including children.
The death toll from the Russian attack, which was targeted on Ukraine’s Independence Day and the completion of six months of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, may increase, the BBC reported, quoting President Zelensky.
Russia has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
