Present government followed due parliamentary process to pass Citizenship Bill: Home Minister Khand  

August 23, Kathmandu: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has informed that the Federal Parliament has passed the Citizenship Bill with an outright majority.

During a press meet organized in the Home Ministry on Monday, Home Minister Khand said that the present government had followed the due parliamentary process in tabling and endorsing the bill which was brought by the then UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli-led government through an ordinance.   

Minister Khand said the bill will help address the problem of eligible Nepali citizens not receiving citizenship certificates.
