Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi calls on Home Minister Khand

Kathmandu: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi called on Home Minister Balkrishna Khand at the Home Ministry today.

The Secretariat of the Home Minister said during the meeting Minister Khand and Chinese Ambassador Hou discussed the matters of bilateral relation and mutual interests.

On the occasion, Minister Khand pledged Nepal’s unwavering commitment to one China Policy. He also expressed a commitment that Nepal would never let any anti-China activities in Nepal. 

Home Minister’s press coordinator Madhusudan Bhattarai quoted Minister Khanda saying Nepal was committed to non-aligned foreign policy and the principles of Panchsheela. The Home Minister added Nepal’s best interest was preserved when peace prevailed in its neighboring countries.      

During the meeting Chinese Ambassador Hou expressed China’s readiness to assist Nepal in disaster rescue and management.
