UML’s Bidhya Bhattarai files candidacy for deputy speaker

Kathmandu: CPN (UML) lawmaker Bidhya Bhattarai has filed her candidacy for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Shanta Chaudhary proposed her candidacy while Krishnabhakta Pokhrel seconded it.

As per the schedule, there was a programme for registration of a proposal for the election of any member of the HoR to the post of Deputy Speaker between 11 am and 1 pm on July 14, Thursday. The notice of such a proposal should be registered with the HoR Secretary. —
