Malaysia’s Weston Company to take Nepali workers on zero investment

July 6, Kathmandu: A Multinational IT Company based in Malaysia is going to take Nepali workers to Malaysia at zero cost.
During a programme organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Malaysia’s Weston Technology and Nepal-based Manpower Company Akarshan International and Laldhanush International signed a bilateral agreement to take the Nepali workers.
The Deputy General Manager on behalf of Weston Technology David and Chairperson Bishnu Bahadur KC from Akarshan International and Chairperson Dawa Nawang Sherpa on behalf of Laldhanush International signed the agreement.
According to the agreement, Nepali workers are permitted to go to Malaysia through the two manpower companies with zero investment.
The Malaysia-based company would take 450 workers in the first phase.
A total of 140 women and 60 men will be going to Malaysia through Akarshan international while 175 women and 75 men are being taken through Laldhanush International.
A high-level management team of the company has arrived in Kathmandu for workers’ selection. Interview dates have been set for Wednesday and Thursday.
All costs involved in sending the selected Nepali workforce to Malaysia would be covered by the Company.
The Company has its industries in different countries including China, India, Taiwan, Mexico, the Czech Republic and the Philippines.
