Government committed to enhance standards of higher education-PM Deuba

June 29, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his firm commitment to enhance the standards of higher education in the country.

Presiding over the 22nd general assembly of the Pokhara University on Tuesday,PM Deuba, also the chancellor of the university, pledged to make the higher education need-based, employment-intensive, practical, and qualitative.

He expressed the government’s full support to enhance the quality in education by ending anomalies persisting in the educational sector of the country.

Prime Minister Deuba highlighted the important role of the Pokhara University in prospering the society and steering ahead the country to the path of prosperity. Noting that country’s development would not gain momentum without peace and political stability, he stressed the spectacular role of the university to that end.##
