Energy Minister urges people’s representatives to preserve and promote local identities

June 12, Kathmandu: Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Minister Pampha Bhusal urged the newly elected people’s representatives to serve the public while also undertaking the preservation and promotion of local identities.
At a programme organized on Saturday, to congratulate the newly elected people’s representatives of Mahalaxmi Municipality-6, Minister Bhusal said, “People’s representatives are not rulers, they are instead servants.
Bhusal asserted that development works should be taken forward by promoting own traditional identities. She viewed that programs should be devised and implemented from ward to municipality level for tourism promotion, stating that tourism was the basis for the economic development of Mahalaxmi town. The Minister argued that the local people’s representatives should pay attention to health and education and underscored enhancing education quality in community schools and making healthcare services accessible and affordable for the public.
