Accident along Bhairahawa-Parasi road section kills 9

June 5, Butuwal: Nine people died and 23 others sustained injuries on Sunday when a passenger bus fell in the Rohini River along the Bhairahawa- Parasi road section in Rupandehi district.

The accident occurred at 4 am in the morning.

The Bhairahawa Medical College has informed that among the nine deceased, five people had died at the Bhairahawa Medical College and four people had died at Bhim hospital.

The bus was heading to Bhairahawa from Janakpur.

Police said other injured are undergoing treatment at Bhairaha Medical College and Bhim Hospital.

Police speculated that the accident could have been caused by the driver having fallen asleep while driving.
