Counting begins in Myagdi

Galeshwor: The counting of votes started this morning at all local levels except Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality of Myagdi.

The counting of votes started at 10:30 am in Beni Municipality, the only municipality in the district.

Chief Election Officer Tej Narayan Poudel has started the counting of ballot boxes in Beni Municipality-1 Ratnechaur.

Similarly, the counting of votes has also started in Malika, Mangala, Raghuganga and Annapurna Rural Municipality, according to the District Election Office.

According to Bhim Prasad Ghimire, chief of the office, the counting of votes could not start from Gurja of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality due to geographical remoteness.

District Election Officer Bhim Prasad Ghimire informed that out of the total 56,543 votes cast in all the five villages including Beni Municipality, 30,032 were women, 26,510 were men and one was.
