Voter turnout 41 % until 2 PM: Election Commission

Kathmandu: According to the Election Commission, 41 per cent of voting has taken place in the local level election till 2 PM today.

The commission said that except for a few irregular incidents, voting is underway peacefully and enthusiastically across the country.

Some 17.73 million voters will be electing a total of 35,221 representatives who include mayors/ chiefs and deputy mayors/ deputy chiefs, ward chairs, Dalit women members, women members and open ward members the today’s election taking place the second time since the country switched to a federal set-up.
