Political party leaders, Ministers, High-level officials cast vote

May 13, Kathmandu: As the voting for the local level election begins, many political party leaders, cabinet ministers, and House Speakers and high-level officials have already cast the ballot.

CPN ( Maoist Center) Chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘ Prachanda’ cast his ballot in the local election from the polling station based in Nepal Police School, Shantipur of Bharatpur metropolis-14.

CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal visited the Ramjanaki Kanya Basic School polling center (A) in Gaur municipality-1, Rautahat this morning to take part in the voting under the local level elections.

Likewise, former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal also voted in the election from the National Basic School-based polling center at Karfok of Suryadaya municipality-9 in Ilam.

Nepali Congress senior leader Ramchandra Poudel has cast his ballot in the local elections from the Satyawati Secondary School-based polling station in Byas municipality of Tanahu.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has voted in the local election from Sindhupalchowk. He reached the Setidevi Panchakanya Secondary School-based polling station at Kubhinde of Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality-4 to cast his ballot in the election that kicked off simultaneously at 7:00 am this morning.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has voted in the local election from the Jyoti Higher Secondary School-based polling station at Tilottama municipality-8 in Rupandehi.

Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Dilendra Prasad Badu, took part in the voting under the ongoing local level elections from Api Nampa Conservation Area Office (A) polling center at Mahakali municipality-5 in Darchula district.

National Assembly (NA) Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina visited the Pashupati Secondary School polling station at Modi rural municipality in Parbat to cast his ballot in the local election underway across the country since 7:00 am today. He voted from the Pashupati Secondary School ‘B’ polling booth at Ramja of Modi-7.

Similarly, Madhesh Province Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut cast his vote at 7:00 am this morning from the Birgunj metropolis-13.

Likewise, Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party Chair Narayan Man Bijukchhe voted in the local elections from the Bidhyarthi Niketan Secondary School-based polling center in Bhaktapur municipality-5.

Similarly, former Prime Minister Dr.Baburam Bhattarai, visited the Annapurna Secondary School at Palungtar municipality -1 in Gorkha to cast his ballot for the local elections.

Former Chairman of Council of Ministers, Khil Raj Regmi, cast his vote in the local election from the Sano Gaucharan Height-based polling station at Mid Baneshwor.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) leader and former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara reached the Rolpa municipality-1-based Tara Secondary School to cast his ballot in the election. Former Speaker Onsari Gharti and Maoist leader Barshaman Pun also cas the vote from the Uday Secondary School in Rolpa municipality-7. —-

Similarly, the Mayoral candidates of Lalitpur Metropolitan, Chiribabu Maharjan and HariKrishna Byanjankar have also cast the vote.

The mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolitan Srijana Singh and the Mayoral candidate of Bharatpur Metropolitan have also cast their vote.
