Local polls in peaceful manner on slated time: Home Minister Khand

April 28, Chitwan: Minister for Home Affairs, Bal Krishna Khand, has said that the local-level election would be held in a peaceful manner on the slated time.
At a news conference organised by Nepal Press Union, Chitwan, here Wednesday, Home Minister Khand shared that he was confident that the rebel candidates of the Nepali Congress would withdraw their candidacies. “Here are my senior leaders as well as friends.
We will move ahead by consulting with everyone on how to take the party ahead, how to save Chitwan’s reputation and how to appeal the voters.”
The Home Minister opined, “The party has asked the rebel candidates to withdraw their candidacies taking the party’s decision easily. The NC believed that the rebel candidates will withdraw their candidacies.”
He further said that the five-party alliance was formed for the protection of the constitution and democracy, saying the national politics now stands on the foundation of alliance and all should take it easily.
“Discussion should be held among alliance members. Sometimes, we have to take one step back”, he argued. All should contribute equally in course of implementing the decision as the top leaders of the alliance have made the decision.
