30 injured in Arghakhanchi bus accident

Arghakhanchi: A bus carrying pilgrims has met with an accident near Belbatika in Sandhikharka Municipality of Arghakhanchi District.

Police have informed that 30 people were injured in the accident.

Chief of the District Police Office, Arghakhanchi, Amber Thapa confirmed that the bus heading to Supa Deurali after visiting Swargadwari met with an accident near Belbatika.

The bus was carrying pilgrims from Pokhara.

Police Chief Thapa said the injured are being treated at various hospitals in Sandhikharka.

Police have estimated that the accident may have taken place due to brake failure on the steep road.

A team including Chief District Officer Sashidhar Ghimire and Police Chief Thapa rescued the victims.
