Government recommends ambassadors for 20 countries

April 7, Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal (GoN) has recommended ambassadors to various twenty countries. The positions of ambassadors were vacant for a long period of time in as many as twenty countries.
A meeting of the council of ministers on Thursday evening decided to recommend the names. The recommended names include eight from the foreign affairs service and twelve from the ruling parties.
Kailash Pokhrel (Australia), Bishnu Pukar Shrestha (China), Prof. Dr Ram Suraj Yadav (Denmark), Dan Bahadur Tamang (South Africa), Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal (Spain), Basu Dev Mishra (Sri Lanka), Milan Tuladhar (Russia), Jyoti Pyakurel (South Korea), Nawaraj Subedi (Saudi Arabia), Naresh Bikram Dhakal (Qatar) Shanta Rijal (Israel), Dilli Raj Poudel (Malaysia) Harischandra Ghimire (Bahrain), Dornath Aryal (Oman), Susheel Kumar Lamsal (Egypt), Ghanshyam Bhandari (Bangladesh), Bharat Kumar Regmi (Austria) Nirmal Raj Kafle (Brazil), Durga Bahadur Subedi (Japan), Tirtha Raj Wagle (Myanmar), are the recommended names.
The President of Nepal will appoint the ambassadors, as per the constitutional provision.
