Vice President Pun distributes relief to martyr’s family

Sarlahi: (RSS) Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said that the country has got the new Constitution to make the dream of martyrs come true.

Vice President Pun, who arrived in Sarlahi to hand over relief to the families of those killed in the armed conflict and those who were declared martyrs by the government in various incidents, said that the role played by the martyrs in bringing radical change in the country would always be immortal.

He was addressing a program organized by the Madhesi Martyrs’ Foundation under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication of the Madhes provincial Government to provide relief and honour to the families of the martyrs.

On the occasion, Vice President Pun honoured the families of 60 martyrs of Sarlahi. According to Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of the Madhesh provincial Government, Bharat Prasad Sah, the families of the 60 martyrs were provided Rs. 100,000 each in cash and letters of appreciation.

The event was held at the community building at Barhathwa Municipality-2, Hazariya.
