Vice President Pun urges three tiers of government to conserve and promote native culture of Nepal

Kathmandu: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has urged three tiers of the government for the development and promotion of the native culture of Nepal.

In a program organized by the National Folk and Duet Song Academy Nepal in Kathmandu today, Vice President Pun said the conservation and timely publicity of Nepali Culture could help widen Nepal’s visibility in the world.

The Vice president also asked the artists to think about the danger of losing the originality of folk music in the name of modernizing songs.

Vice President Pun also drew the government’s attention towards acknowledging the contribution made by the artists to Nepal’s political and social transformation through music.
