Five members of a single-family die of suffocation in Lalitpur

Lalitpur: Five members of a single family died of suffocation at Nallu of Konjyosom rural municipality-4 in Lalitpur last night.

Police said the deceased are 55-year old Kainli Syantan, 33-year-old Sushma, 9-year-old Aashish, 7-year-old Ashma and a two-day infant.

According to a preliminary medical observation, they died of suffocation caused by the fire lit up inside the house with a metal roof and closed windows.

Seriously injured in the incident, 22-year-old Shuva Tamang is said to be undergoing treatment at Lalitpur-based Patan Hospital.
