House of Representatives meeting underway

Kathmandu: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) called for today has begun.

Earlier, the meeting that was scheduled for 1 pm was postponed for one hour. The meeting is taking place almost after two hours.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to present the Office of the Attorney General’s Annual Report, 2020/21 and a possible agenda has been prepared wherein Finance Minister Janardan Sharma will propose the House, seeking a general deliberation on the US-aid Millennium Challenge Corporation Compact reached between the Governments of Nepal and the US.

The ruling coalition’s Sunday morning meeting has already made an agreement to ratify MCC with an interpretive explanation.
