CPN Unified Socialist decides to cast vote against MCC Compact

Kathmandu: The CPN Unified Socialist has decided to cast vote against the US-funded Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact tabled in the parliament.

Party spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada said his party’s secretariat meeting held today decided to stand against the MCC.

However, Spokesperson Khatiwada said the five-party alliance would not split over the MCC.

The government tabled the Compact in the parliament yesterday amidst the differences among leaders of various political parties.
