Health Ministry urges all having respiratory problems to undergo bird flu test

Kathmandu: Ministry of Health and Population has urged all having respiratory problems to undergo the bird flu test.

Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday, Health Ministry Joint Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari urged people with respiratory issues and other flu-like symptoms to undergo tests citing cases of bird flu in Rapti Municipality-6 of Chitwan and Gokarneswor Municipality-3 of Kathmandu.

The Ministry has also called on people with flu-like symptoms from the bird-flu affected areas to stay in 10-day home isolation and contact the local health institutions.
