Educational institutes reopening from Sunday

February 13, Kathmandu: The educational institutes and nighttime businesses as hotels and restaurants closed in the wake of the third wave of COVID-19 are reopening from Sunday.

However, strict implementation of health and safety protocol is imperative. As per the decision of the COVID-19 Health Crisis Management Coordination Centre (CCMC), universities, schools, tuition centres, training and other educational activities, dance bar, dohori restaurants, lounge, pub, cinema hall, health club, gymnasium, swimming pool, futsal, will be allowed opening till 10:00 pm.

The CCMC has however made the safety protocol mandatory. Similarly, the CCMC had recommended the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for the arrangement of regular school classes for the students above 12 years and on an alternate basis for those under 12 years.

Similarly, only 50 percent of viewers are allowed for sports.
