Low-pressure system of westerly wind triggers rain and snowfall affecting normal life across Nepal

Kathmandu: The low-pressure system of the westerly wind caused the rainfall and snowfall across the country on Friday .

The meteorological forecasting division said many parts of the terai and mid-hilly regions of the country have been witnessing heavy to moderate rainfall since last night.

Meteorologist Prativa Manandhar said the high-hilly and mountainous regions have been witnessing snowfall and hailstone.

The division said the weather is likely to improve from Saturday afternoon despite the increased cold due to incessant rainfall and snowfall.

 Meteorologist Manandhar further said there was no possibility of more rainfall for the next few days citing less possibility of development of the next weather system for the time being.
