70% of the population above 18 years fully vaccinated against Covid 19 in Nepal: Health Minister Khatiwada  

Kathmandu: Health Minister Birod Katiwada has said 70% of the population above 18 years has been fully vaccinated against Covid 19 in Nepal.  

Issuing a statement on the occasion of the one-year completion of the vaccination drive today, Minister Khatiwada also said the country’s 83% of the target population had received at least a single dose of the anti-covid-19 vaccines.

Likewise, the Health Minister also informed that 358 thousand 2 hundred and 98 children aged between 12 to 18 had been fully vaccinated while one million 872 thousand 6 hundred and 70 children received the first dose of the anti-covid-19 vaccines.

As per Minister Khatiwada’s information, nearly 300 thousand frontline workers have received booster doses against Covid-19.

Health Minister further said Nepal received a total of 42 million 49 thousand 6 hundred and 40 doses of Covishied, AstraZenica, VeroCell, Jonson and Jonson, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines within a year.
