PM Deuba expresses sorrow over Shahi’s death

January 14, Kathmandu: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sorrow over demise of NC Dailekh General Convention and former Vice-President of Dailekh, Karna Bahadur Shahi.

Issuing a condolence message on Thursday, NC President Deuba expressed sorrow over Shahi’s demise, said Chief Secretary of NC Central Office, Krishna Prasad Poudel.

President Deuba, on the behalf of his party and own, paid tributes to Shahi and expressed deep condolences towards the bereaved family members.

Born on May 28, 1948, Shahi passed away at his residence at Narayan municipality-1 today.

He had played an active role in building NC’s organization and Nepal’s democratic movement. He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters. —
