No disputes along Sino-Nepal border: China (audio report)

January 14, Kathmandu: China has stated that there are no border disputes between Nepal and China anywhere along the Sino-Nepal border.

Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal stated that the border disputes were settled in the 1960s via talks between the two countries.

The Chinese Embassy issued such a statement after receiving reports that some organizations were protesting against China- claiming that it had encroached on Nepali territory.

The statement says that China respects Nepal’s sovereignty and geographical integrity.

The Chinese Embassy has also stated that China has provided large quantities of health safety materials, vaccines, and liquid oxygen, which has helped Nepal fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Stating that the present situation has hindered the exchange of material and personnel between the two countries, the Chinese Embassy has said that such exchanges would continue once the pandemic subsided.
