Academies begin celebration of National Unity Day

January 10, Kathmandu: Various institutions including academies have begun the celebration of the National Unity Day.

Nepal Academy, Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Music and Drama, and Cultural Association jointly launched the three-day celebration.    

On the first day, an exhibition of books was organized on the premises of Nepal Academy. Chancellor of Nepal Academy, Ganga Prasad Uprety informed that the book exhibition would run for a week.  

Similarly, Academy of Fine Arts organized an exhibition of fine arts as part of the celebration on Sunday.

Academy Chancellor Kanchha Kumar Karmacharya informed that the exhibition was a weeklong program. There are 134 creations. 

The creations in exhibition are focused on unity. Many reflect the message of national unity spread by Prithvi Narayan Shah.
