Government fixes support price of sugarcane for this year

The government has decided to accept a policy loan assistance of 10.39 billion rupees to be provided by the government of Japan.

Unveiling the cabinet decisions on Thursday, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said the loan had been accepted for Nepal’s economic development and productivity

As shared by Minister Kari, the cabinet meeting also approved the Police Regulations (ninth amendment)-2078 BS and determined the support price of sugarcane at 520 rupees per quintal for the current fiscal.

The cabinet has also approved the partnership agreement for the construction of a motorable bridge over the Mahakali river of Darchula linking Nepal and India, and carrying out research to identify carbon reserve in the forest areas.
