PM Deuba says government is committed to preserving and promoting diverse languages and cultures in Nepal
Kathmandu: Loshar festival has been observed with various programs across the country on Thursday. Tamu Loshar is celebrated as a new year by the Gurung community.
Addressing a program organized on the occasion of Tamu Loshar in Kathmandu on Thursday, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said the government was committed to preserving and promoting the diverse languages, cultures and civilizations in Nepal.
The Prime Minister added that the festivals like Tamu Loshar would help strengthen brotherhood, mutual harmony and tolerance among people of different religion, culture, community and region.
The government had announced holyday on the occasion of Tamu Loshar today.
