Don’t go by rumours, economic indicators are right: Minister Sharma

December 21, Kathmandu: Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma has said that the rumours are being spread that that economy is facing crisis and urged not to go by such ‘rumours’.
At an interaction on capital expenditure organized at the Ministry of Finance on Monday, Minister Sharma admitted that capital expenditure was dismal and it should be increased to address the issues relating to liquidity crunch.
Calling for amendment in existing acts and regulations relating to forest and environment to increase capital expenditure, the Finance Minister urged all the ministries to increase their respective capital expenditure by 30 percent by mid-January.
He also pledged cooperation on his part to complete development projects on time to increase capital expenditure.
