CAN relieves National Men Cricket team Captain Malla and Vice-captain Airee from their responsibility over disciplinary issue

Kathmandu: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has taken disciplinary action against four players including captain and vice caption of the Nepali Men National Cricket Team.

Today meeting of the office bearers of the CAN relieved Captain Gyanendra Malla and Vice-Captain Dipendra Sigh Airee from their responsibility and decided not to include four players including Mall, Airee, Sompal Kami and Kamal Sigh Airee in the central contract for six months in 2022.

In a statement issued by Acting Secretary of the Association Prashant Bikram Malla states the meeting appointed Sandeep Lamichhane as the new captain of the team. Likewise, as a part of the preparation for the upcoming world cup selection, the team is scheduled to start close training from December 21.
