South Korea to spend over one billion for polytechnic institute in Province 2

Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal and the Government of the Republic of Korea signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the establishment of a polytechnic institute for construction workforce development in Province 2.
The MOU was signed by Secretary of Ministry of finance Madhu Kumar Marasini and Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Chong-suk on behalf of their respective governments at the Ministry of Finance, Singhadurbar, Kathmandu.
Through this project, the Government of Nepal aims to produce competent workforces ready to meet the domestic and global needs of the 21st century by aligning with the technical and vocational education and training policy and the 15th periodic National Plan. The project also aims to contribute to the economic growth of Nepal through the development of a skilled workforce to meet the need of the construction industry increasing their employability.
