Voting to elect new leadership of Nepali Congress underway, voting time extended till 9 this evening

Kathmandu: The voting process to elect candidates vying for various posts in Nepali Congress (NC) under its ongoing 14th national general convention is now underway.

According to the Nepali Congress election committee, the voting process had been delayed and started around four hours late than the scheduled time of 8 am.

Considering the number of voters and votes cast till now, the voting time has been extended till 9 this evening.

Nepali Congress Election Committee secretary Jagannath Shrestha said all the tasks of voting would be completed till 10 this evening and vote counting of the candidates for the post of president would start today itself.

4 hundred and 84 candidates are vying for one hundred and 32 various posts of the Nepal Congress.

There are a total of 4 thousand 743 representatives in the national convention.
