Neupane bags Krishi Tara Award

December 9, Kathmandu: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock development Mahendra Raya Yadav has said that the country can become prosperous by introducing advanced foreign technologies and skills to the Nepali agriculture sector.

Addressing the 2^nd Krishi Tara Award jointly organized by the Israeli Embassy Kathmandu and Avsar Foundation in Kathmandu on Thursday, Minister Yadav urged the Israeli government to help modernize Nepal’s agriculture sector.

Also speaking during the award ceremony, Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder said that the Nepali agriculture sector had great potential.

Ambassador Goder said modernization of the agriculture sector was needed for Nepal to reach its true potential.

Owner of Chetana Agriculture and Livestock farm Yuddha Prasad Neupane of Dhunibesi-5, Dhading won this year’s Krishi Tara Award.

The award carries a purse of Rs. 500,000.
