Faction of NC intensifies internal consultation to pick consensus candidate for party president post

Kathmandu: A faction of the Nepali Congress has intensified internal consultation to pick a consensus candidate for the post of party president under its 14th General Convention.

Senior Leader Ram Chandra Poudel, party’s former General Secretary Prakash Man Singh, General Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala, and leader Dr Shekhar Koirala are among the aspirants for the post of party president from the faction.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has already declared to file his candidacy for the post of party president once gain from the establishment side.
