Election process under Province Convention of Nepali congress begins

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba said the Nepali Congress laid the basis for prosperity in the country along with leading major movements.

Virtually inaugurating the first province convention of Province 1 today, Prime Minister Deuba claimed that the series of incidents in the past had proved that only the Nepali Conges would lead the country to the path of development and prosperity.

The Prime Minister also said the local level election would be held in a few months and the provincial and federal elections would be held within a year.

He added that all the attention would be focused on the upcoming election immediately after the party’s 14th national convention.

Meantime,nNominations in 6 provinces except Province 2 for the new leadership of the Nepali Congress have been registered today.

Each 3 names have been registered in Bagamati province and Karlani province while each 2 names have been registered in other provinces for the leadership in the party’s Province committees.
