CPN UML’s General Convention re-elects KP Sharma Oli as Party Chairman for second term
KP Sharma Oli has been re-elected as the CPN (UML) Chairperson.
The 10th National Congress of the party held in Chitwan elected Oli again for the next 4 year term.
CPN-UML Election Committee chairman Bijaya Subba said Chairperson Oli received 18 hundred and 40 votes while his contestant Bhim Rawal got only 2 hundred and 23 votes.
Likewise, leaders Astalakshmi Shakya, Surendra Pandey, Suwas Nemwang, Bishu Paudel and Ram Bahadur Thapa have been elected as the vice-chairs of the party.
Similarly, leaders Gokarna Bista, Yogesh Bhattarai, Chhabilal Biswakarma, Padma Aryal, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Lekh Raj Bhatta and Raghubir Mahaseth have been elected as the secretaries of the party.
The Chief of the election committee also informed that the General Convention elected 3 hundred and one central members and Chairpersons, office-bearers, and members of various commissions of the party.
The General Convention has also endorsed 17 proposals. The elected members and office-bearers of the party have taken the oath of office and secrecy this evening
